Mind over matter

The Mind goes against the Heart every time.

Every single bloody time and it is painful, but at the end of the day, the Mind is always right. Because it is rational. It foresees the consequences of the Heart's wants.

The Heart gets hurt, yes, but perhaps it is protected by the Mind from further pain in the future.
